Reminds me of the last season episode The Grey Team where a lookalike team of soldiers try and take on the real A-Team. This just looks like standard 00s Hollywood 25 year old exec / accountant fuelled bullshit, with a modern B.A. who throws out street jive like ‘homey’ to appear less embarassing than Mr T. But you can’t improve on something good and in 1985 it didn’t get much better than the original A-Team.
BTW, if the general consensus among USA moviegoers is that crap like this ATeam remake is cool, then American cinema is really doomed. No wonder Michael Bay keeps directing smash hits… he really knows what kind of dog food the audience’s gonna eat.
Then I guess every movie made before CGI existed used… magic? Ever heard about things like motion control, rear projection? People should understand CGI is not bein’ used to create something otherwise impossible (Terminator 2, The Matrix), it’s just way cheaper than practical effects and any idiot with a mouse can create an action scene. Old special effects artists like Rob Bottin or Douglas Trumbull costed much more and when you see a movie like The Thing or Blade Runner you know why.

Apatow Judd films aren’t all about the raunch – not sure how you come to that hypothesis. His greatest directorial piece, Knocked Up, has a several filthy times, but its theme of a Peter Pan type finally having to grow older and accept responsibility for his decisions is a good story, and it was the sparse movie that most men and women could enjoy together, it’s not a chick-flick nor guy-flick. A lot of his other film treads similar ground. I love raunch, and I want there were more of it out there – the world needs more teenage sex comedies in these depressing times
